One of Indiana’s most celebrated high school show choirs is preparing to take the stage once again as Music Warehouse celebrates its 50th Anniversary with a special concert bringing together generations of performers, directors and supporters.
The anniversary event will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Edgewood High School and will commemorate five decades of music, memories and tradition that began in 1976 at the high school. The concert will feature performances by current members of Music Warehouse along with alumni representing different eras of the ensemble’s history.
Founded by Verda Savage, Music Warehouse quickly established itself as one of the nation’s premier high school show choirs, earning national recognition through award-winning performances, innovative productions and a commitment to musical excellence. Hundreds of students have been part of the ensemble over the past 50 years, with alumni pursuing careers in music, education, entertainment and countless other professions while carrying forward the lessons of teamwork, discipline and excellence learned on the Music Warehouse stage.
“This concert is much more than a reunion,” said Verda Savage Slinkard, founder of the program. “It’s an opportunity to celebrate the people, traditions and friendships that have defined Music Warehouse for five decades and to honor everyone who has helped make this program what it is today.”
The anniversary celebration will feature performances spanning Music Warehouse’s rich history while highlighting the current ensemble that continues to build upon the program’s legacy. Alumni from across the country are expected to return to Edgewood for the once-in-a-generation celebration.
Music Warehouse has long been recognized as a cornerstone of the performing arts in southern Indiana, serving as an ambassador for Edgewood High School and the Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Corporation while inspiring generations of student performers.
The public is invited to attend this special anniversary event.

•Time: The public can “walk through history” in the Edgewood High School commons from 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm. The concert will begin at 7:00 pm, and tickets are required.
