Edgewood High School has spent the past year revamping its work-based learning program for the 2024-25 school year and beyond. At EHS, our students can explore 15 Next Level Pathways (QR code below) as possible career fields.  We would love 3-4 internship options for students when they complete Pathways and move into work-based learning, such as job shadowing, internships, and apprenticeships.  In addition, we are looking for partners in cosmetology, construction, jurisprudence, law enforcement, project management, plumbing/electrical, etc.

Indiana is introducing new diploma requirements for the first time since the 1980s, starting with the Class of 2029.  This significant change is designed to offer students greater flexibility in pursuing their passions, not just through classes but also through real-world experiences.

For the 24-25 school year, we have matched 57 students with employment opportunities both on and off Edgewood’s campus.  These students are coming into the workforce with job skills, including solid communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.  They will learn from the knowledgeable employers in our area and bring a solid foundation with which to build a future professional.

We have been incredibly fortunate to partner with the following employers for the 24-25 school year:  Ellettsville Public Library, Ivy Tech, Mad 4 My Dog, The Beauty Bar, Cook Medical, Smithville, RISE Autism Center, Theraplay, IU Health, Liberty Family Dentistry, Adalie Allen Insurance, IN Farm Bureau Insurance – Nashon Cameron, Bloomington Chocolate Co., SAIC, Third Eye Design, Hoosier Hills Credit Union, Jill’s House Memory Care, Parker Real Estate Management, Chandler Funeral Home, Superior Construction, ILC Designs at EHS, EHS Coffee Corral, and the EHS Sports Marketing program.
