The Ellettsville Update: How Are We Growing? event, held by the Ellettsville Chamber of Commerce on November 12, 2024, and moderated by Joyce Poling explored the Town’s development, economic strategies, and community impact. A key focus was on the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) and what that means for Ellettsville. Michael Farmer, Ellettsville Town Manager and Ron Taylor, Taylor Siefker Williams Design Group explained how TIF revenues support local infrastructure and enhance business potential. Ron also gave an update on the Envision Ellettsville initiative and shared the community’s progress toward a cohesive growth plan. Jennifer Pearl, president of the BEDC shared insights into Monroe County’s population trends and information about the County Development Ordinance.
