Seven Oaks Classical School is excited to announce the
resounding success of our Playground Initiative. With community support, the school was able
to build a primary playground, as well as a secondary kindergarten playground, exceeding its
initial fundraising target of $125,000 by almost $14,000.
The Playground Initiative was launched last spring thanks to an anonymous donor who
approached the school, offering a matching grant of up to $50,000. The Initiative culminated in
May with the school’s first-ever Founders Gala, which raised over $25,000 in a single evening.
This remarkable achievement was made possible by the support of an anonymous donor who
helped kick this plan into motion and the overwhelming success of our Founders Gala.
The funds raised were used to install two state-of-the-art cedar playgrounds, designed to foster
creativity, physical fitness, and social interaction among students of all ages. The installation
began the week of July 8th and was completed within two weeks, with a grand opening on
August 2.
“We couldn’t have achieved this without the incredible support of our community, including the
attendees and donors at our Founders Gala,” Dr. Stephen Shipp continued. “This initiative is a
testament to the power of community and the shared commitment to providing our children with
a beautiful setting for a beautiful education.”
