The Greater Ellettsville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual Meeting & Awards Dinner on Tuesday, October 28, bringing together members, business leaders, and friends for an evening of celebration, connection, and community pride. The event was truly magical — filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and a shared appreciation for the people and organizations that make Ellettsville such a special place to live and work.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2025 Chamber Awards, which recognized individuals and businesses that exemplify leadership, service, and a commitment to the community.

Spirit of Maurice E. Endwright Award — Kenny Williams

Kenny Williams was honored for his decades of service and dedication to the community of Ellettsville. Since making the town his home in 1995, Kenny has been a steadfast advocate for community growth and service. His tireless involvement through the Chamber, the Lions Club, and numerous local causes embodies the spirit of Maurice E. Endwright, characterized by integrity, compassion, and an enduring love for the community.

Ellettsville Educator of the Year — Danielle Butler

Danielle Butler of RBBCSC was recognized for her exceptional impact in the classroom and beyond. Known for her creativity, warmth, and ability to inspire students, Mrs. Butler has built a positive and nurturing culture at Edgewood Primary. Her energy and dedication to students’ success make her a shining example of what excellent education looks like in our community.

Chamber Award of Excellence (Small Business) — Hawaiian Hoosier

Hawaiian Hoosier was celebrated for their joyful spirit, creativity, and strong community involvement. Through their delicious food and treats, vibrant presence, and generosity, they bring a touch of sunshine to Ellettsville and embody what it means to be a small business with a big heart.

Chamber Award of Excellence (Large Business) — Hometown IGA

A cornerstone of Ellettsville since the 1960s, Hometown IGA continues to exemplify excellence in local business. Under the leadership of Manager Paul Risley, the store remains a trusted community partner, supporting local causes, providing employment opportunities, and serving generations of families with friendly, reliable service.
