Bringing Community Together for an Evening of Fun and Giving Back
Nearly half of families in south-central Indiana are just one emergency away from poverty. United Way of South Central Indiana invites community members to help change that at Play With a Purpose on Thursday, August 6, from 5–9 p.m. at Hoosier Alley. This family-friendly event combines bowling, skating, games, and community building while supporting United Way’s work connecting people to possibility across the region.
Play With a Purpose offers individuals, families, coworkers, and community supporters an evening out while raising awareness and support for programs that open doors to youth opportunity, financial stability, and healthy communities for local ALICE families – our neighbors who are Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed, and working hard but still struggling to get by.
As part of the event, 50% of proceeds from bowling and axe throwing rentals, along with 10% of food purchases will be donated back to United Way of South Central Indiana. Roller skating, bumper cars, and laser tag are free for all attendees, making it easy for the whole family to join in while supporting a great cause.
