Public health updates

The Monroe County Health Department is our community’s continuing leader for all public health updates and instructions. Updates are on the Monroe County website and on Facebook @MoCoHealth.

COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund

United Way of Monroe County and nearly 30 local organizations are partnering to launch the COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund. Donors can contribute to support immediate economic stability and basic needs in Monroe, Owen, and Greene Counties. The fund focuses on supporting area nonprofits, residential needs for sheltered individuals, temporary staffing or volunteer mobilization efforts, and local food security and financial assistance programs. SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans

The Administration has allocated $50 billion to the Small Business Administration (SBA) for Economic Injury Disaster Loans. For Hoosiers to gain access to this funding, we need to collect small business economic impact data from every county in Indiana so that Governor Holcomb can declare an economic injury disaster.

The Small Business Administration is working diligently to gain access to this funding and would greatly appreciate your help. Please complete this form to share how COVID-19 has impacted your business. Information obtained from this form will only be used to assist in requesting an economic injury disaster declaration from SBA and identifying greatest areas of need. Once a disaster declaration is made for designated areas within Indiana, information on the application process for Economic Injury Disaster Loan assistance will be updated at www.SBA.gov/disaster.
