The annual "Picnic in the Park"

Chris Hazel Celebrates 20 Years at United Way of Monroe County

“A small group of people who want to help can be so powerful – they can make a big difference.” As Chris Hazel approaches her 20-year anniversary with United Way of Monroe County, she has seen the community come together time and time again to help each other.
In her role as Finance Director, she accounts for every dollar received and granted out, keeps meticulous records, produces financial reports, and helps set up accounting structures for new funds. “Be it for annual support, a disaster, or COVID-19, we are ready to raise the money needed for our community.”

Envision Ellettsville
Envision Ellettsville will host a public meeting at Ellettsville Town Hall 1150 W. Guy McCown Dr. Ellettsville on May 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
This meeting will be open to the public and will include a presentation that provides an update to the community on what the task force groups have been doing over the last 3 months followed by time for input and questions.
Food Truck Wednesday
The Town of Ellettsville’s Food Truck Wednesdays will begin on May 10th and end on September 27th.
It will be located downtown on North Sale Street. Hours are from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Parking is available in the municipal parking lots on Vine Street and across and on Main Street across from the N. Sale Street and Main Street intersection.
There will not be a Food Truck Wednesday on September 20th due to the Monroe County Fall Festival that week.

The Town of Ellettsville is seeking amateur musicians to perform during Food Truck Wednesdays. If you’re interested in performing, please call the Planning Department at (812) 876-8008, or you can send an email to planning@ellettsville.in.us.
Event: To the Soldiers of All Wars: Family Day at the History Center
Date: 30 April 2023
Time: 1:00 to 4:00 pm
Location: Monroe County History Center, 202 E 6th Street
Drop in for Family Days at the History Center! From 1-4 pm, the museum will be free and open with activities for kids of all ages. See our exhibit, To the Soldiers of all Wars, and learn about carving limestone with the Indiana Limestone Symposium.
