Ribbon Cutting at Insights Optical

We had a fantastic turnout at the Insights Optical ribbon cutting! We were thrilled to welcome this amazing team to the community!
Dr Zac Short said, "We’re excited to officially open the doors to our new Insights Optical location in Ellettsville! What started as a dream several years ago has finally become a reality, and I couldn’t be more grateful. This project has truly been a family effort—from my dad, Chuck and his business partner Harvey acting as general contractors, to both of our families pitching in on construction and design, and of course, our amazing staff who balanced the demands of a new office while continuing to provide top-notch care at our other two locations. Their support and hard work made all of this possible.
Insights Optical has deep roots in the community, founded in the early 1990s by my mom, Dr. Diane Short. I joined the practice in 2006 after graduating from IU’s School of Optometry and have had the privilege of practicing alongside her for nearly 20 years. We provide full-scope optometry—so beyond glasses and contact lenses, we’re focused on the overall health of your eyes, using the latest technology to deliver the most thorough and efficient exams possible. We’re proud to grow in Ellettsville and become part of this great community in which I now reside with my wife and kids. I’d love for you to stop by, say hello, and check out the new space!"

The Voice of Indiana Farmers since 1919
Sometimes our name confuses people. Yes, we advocate for agriculture and farmers, but our work reaches well beyond the farm. We represent the values Hoosiers embraced when they first built our great state: love for the land, dedication to hard work, and common sense character rooted in family and neighbors.
At Indiana Farm Bureau, we have a vision to keep agriculture in Indiana strong and vibrant, to provide quality food to Indiana residents and to protect the rural life we love.
Today, we are the largest grassroots farm organization in the state with more than 250,000 members. Monroe County has over 3000 associate members, 600 voting members, and an 8-member board of directors.
We are Indiana Farm Bureau. We are the Voice of Indiana Agriculture.
Mission Statement: To protect and enhance the future of agriculture and our communities.
Vision Statement :To cultivate a thriving agricultural ecosystem to strengthen the viability of Indiana agriculture.
Monroe County Farm Bureau strives to be our community’s connection to Ag Education and Advocates of property rights.
