Power Luncheon

Our April Power Luncheon was held at Seven Oaks Classical School.
Headmaster Dr. Stephen Shipp gave a wonderful presentation.
Afterward attendees toured the newly renovated school.

Ivy Tech Community College announced today that Erik Coyne will become chancellor of Ivy Tech Bloomington effective May 1. Coyne will leave his position as chief operating officer of a private software company, which he co-founded, to join the College.

Ribbon Cutting at 11:30 a.m. May 3
Exhibit: We Paint… Historic Bloomington
Date: 25 April to 8 July 2023
Hours: Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Location: MCHC, 202 E 6th Street
The Bloomington Watercolor Society’s annual show is Historic Bloomington and Monroe County. The exhibit features the people, places, and things of our community. Through research and consultation, the society’s members share historical information with their paintings. Subjects include the Hinkle-Garton Farmstead, the Redman Lodge in Smithville, Tomilea Allison, and our very own Monroe County History Center!
Envision Ellettsville
Envision Ellettsville will host a public meeting at Ellettsville Town Hall 1150 W. Guy McCown Dr. Ellettsville on May 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
This meeting will be open to the public and will include a presentation that provides an update to the community on what the task force groups have been doing over the last 3 months followed by time for input and questions.
Food Truck Wednesday
The Town of Ellettsville’s Food Truck Wednesdays will begin on May 10th and end on September 27th.
It will be located downtown on North Sale Street. Hours are from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Parking is available in the municipal parking lots on Vine Street and across and on Main Street across from the N. Sale Street and Main Street intersection.
There will not be a Food Truck Wednesday on September 20th due to the Monroe County Fall Festival that week.

The Town of Ellettsville is seeking amateur musicians to perform during Food Truck Wednesdays. If you’re interested in performing, please call the Planning Department at (812) 876-8008, or you can send an email to planning@ellettsville.in.us.
Event: To the Soldiers of All Wars: Family Day at the History Center
Date: 30 April 2023
Time: 1:00 to 4:00 pm
Location: Monroe County History Center, 202 E 6th Street
Drop in for Family Days at the History Center! From 1-4 pm, the museum will be free and open with activities for kids of all ages. See our exhibit, To the Soldiers of all Wars, and learn about carving limestone with the Indiana Limestone Symposium.
