What is the “CDO”:
The “CDO” is the County Development Ordinance. This document encompasses a re-write of our current Zoning and Subdivision Control Ordinances. This update will also include rezoning the entire County jurisdiction (except the Town of Ellettsville and the City of Bloomington). The CDO guides where development can occur, at what scale/density, and what type is allowed.

Call to Action:
This document will define the county for the next 10-15 years. The Planning Commission is meeting today, Tuesday, October 1st, at 5:30 at the courthouse to hear public feedback. We ask you to attend this meeting whether or not you plan to speak. If you were able to speak at the September 24th hearing, you will not be allowed to speak at this one. It is essential that the Planning Commission and County Commissioners understand the importance of public input. They plan on only having this public comment session unless there is a large attendance. Below is the link for the County CDO website.
