Smoke Detector Blitz - August 8 - Volunteers Needed!

The Ellettsville Chamber is looking for volunteers for the Smoke Detector Blitz on August 8 in collaboration with the Ellettsville Fire Department and the Red Cross.
The event will commence at 1 p.m. at the Ellettsville Fire Station with a training session, followed by activities in Arrowhead Addition starting at 2 p.m. The event is expected to conclude between 4 and 5 p.m.

A free lunch for the training session will be provided by Domino’s Ellettsville.

Volunteers will remain outside residents’ homes, providing fire safety information and offering free smoke detector installations or inspections of existing detectors. Please note that all smoke detectors, including wired ones, should be replaced every ten years.
